Who We Are

We are an independent Bible believing Baptist church. We preach, teach and believe the King James Bible. We were established in 1978 when God called Missionary Randy Everett to Rexburg, Idaho to start a local church. As the founding pastor, he led the church and associated ministries for over thirty years before handing it over to another man. Jacob Hansen became the current pastor in 2023.

Our Values:

Here at Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church we try to help others, and look for lost sheep. Not all lost sheep are prodigals. While the Prodigal went out into the world and lived riotously, his elder brother stayed home, believing himself faultless and blameless, and had no more relationship with the Father than his brother that was openly in sin. Our burden is to reach souls for our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, whether they realize how much they need him or not. Once we have reached them, we strive to do our best to fulfill a pastor's commission to "feed my sheep," so that they may grow to be strong mature Christians in this day and age.

We intend to reach as many souls as we can in the following format.


Reaching out to Rexburg and the surrounding areas

Reaching out to the State of Idaho, and the United States

Reaching out to the uttermost parts of the earth

What we believe….

The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
There is one God, in three persons... Father, Son and the Holy Ghost.
Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, as prophesied by Isaiah.
The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ according to the scriptures.
God promised not only a perfect word, but to preserve His word. Psalm 12:6,7 We believe He kept this promise in the translation of the 1611 King James Bible.
That ALL men have a sin nature, and that ALL men sin by choice
Salvation is by grace through Christ’s finished work on Calvary, not by works. Ephesians 2:8-9
Heaven is received through salvation (There is no need to "receive" Hell, for those who reject Christ are condemned already. John 3:18)
Any person who has accepted Jesus Christ as their savior cannot lose their salvation. Our continuing salvation is just as much a work of grace as receiving it, and he promised to never leave us or forsake us. Rom 8:38, 39
Jesus Christ will take his bride away before the great tribulation period.
The church is independent from other churches and led by the local pastor. No denomination, committee, vote, or other source will determine the doctrines or policies of the local church.
